Gimota, headquartered in Zurich, is one of the leading suppliers of plugs in railroad vehicles - and has recently also become a guide in terms of web operation. Stämpfli Kommunikation realized a modern website for the company, which navigates customers through the product range in German, English and soon also Russian.

The heart of the new online presence is a practical e-catalog, which quickly leads to the desired product by means of a product finder function. Plugs and accessories from Gimota can be viewed using 3D animation and downloaded as a 3D file for the in-house CAD system. This feature and others, such as the connection to the in-house product information management software mediaSolution3 and the store system Magento, result in a convincing overall picture for the railroad connector specialist: "We are proud of the contemporary web presence, which makes our products quickly findable and shows them in the best light," says Stephan Spühler, Marketing Manager at Gimota.

Trains with plugs from the Zurich family-owned company run on rails all over the world - the course on the web was set by professionals from a wide range of service areas at Stämpfli. Stämpfli Publikationssysteme provided the technical equipment, implementation and support were handled by Stämpfli Internet, and the web design came from the creative kitchen of Stämpfli Kommunikation. The redesign of the visual online presence required a look into the future: The goal was a universal design that would later also cover the two other companies of the Schoch family. The Geroldswil-based company still has a lot of plans, as Stephan Läderach, project manager at Stämpfli, knows: "After the successful cooperation in the first stage, we are pleased to be allowed to develop the new web presence of Otto Schoch and of Mechafin as well."
