AI coach for realistic role-playing games

The EdTech company Pinktum is introducing a new feature for its AI coach, Pinkpro: Employees can now participate in role-playing exercises and further develop their skills through direct interaction with the AI coach. A study shows that this hands-on practice method leads to 45 percent better learning outcomes.

EdTech company Pinktum is taking the next step in personnel development with its AI coach Pinkpro: employees can now carry out role plays and further develop their skills in discussions with the AI coach. The practical exercise gives them more confidence in applying their knowledge and can significantly increase their learning success. A study with students shows 45 percent better learning results after using the role play.

Pinkpro recommends the feature in suitable situations or users actively start it. After completing the role play, they receive in-depth feedback with specific suggestions for improvement that are tailored to the user's personality and individual skills.

"The biggest challenge in learning is not understanding, but putting it into practice. This is exactly what role plays promote. Through direct, personalized feedback, users understand what works well and what they should avoid," explains Joachim Pawlik, CEO of Pinktum.

How it works

Before starting the role play, learners inform Pinkpro about the desired context. For example, if a sales employee wants to increase her sales figures at the trade fair, she specifies the product, the situation and the type of customer: "I want to convince a potential new customer of our insurance policies at our trade fair stand. He is difficult to approach and has little time." The AI coach then moderates the conversation with a fictitious impatient customer.

After the interview and the well-founded feedback, users can go straight to the next round and work specifically on their weaknesses. Alternatively, they can refer back to the saved role play and feedback at a later date.

Cooperation with ElevenLabs

One of the strengths of the role-playing game is its realistic voice output. Pinktum is cooperating with ElevenLabs, one of the world's leading companies in the field of AI-generated speech technology. Alois Krtil, CTO of Pinktum, explains: "Thanks to our partnership with ElevenLabs, the conversations are highly realistic. We not only reproduce authentic voices, but also create emotionally nuanced conversations. Through this combination of emotional closeness, cognitive depth and real-time reaction, AI fundamentally improves learning."
