The Interpunkt agency created a 360-degree virtual reality trade fair concept to give visitors an impressive insight into in-service training in the construction sector. According to a press release, the trade fair stand reflected a combination of construction site and classroom to match the courses offered by the Swiss Construction School in Aarau. To support the "school feeling", the virtual reality glasses were placed on classic school desks. A 360-degree video was shown for each field of study, in which students from the construction school provided information on further education opportunities.

When visitors put on VR glasses, they could select one of the five fields of study from the menu: Construction Planning Civil Engineering, Architecture or Interior Design as well as Construction Management Structural/Civil Engineering or Timber Construction. After making their choice, they were virtually transported into the school building. A student from the construction school stood in front of them and interacted with them. The interested parties received information from them about the content and course of the training. They then went on a virtual tour of the construction site. In each video, the students explained the new tasks they were able to take on thanks to their further training. They pointed out details of the construction site with hand gestures. Thanks to the 360-degree recordings, viewers were able to follow the instructions and look around.

Goal achieved, says Interpunkt: the Swiss Construction School was able to draw attention to itself at the trade fair and inform potential students about various further education opportunities in a fun way. In future, the film material will also be used on the screens in the school building, at exhibitions and on the website. (pd/ank)
