The customer magazine "GVB-Info" becomes "Hauszeit". Gebäudeversicherung Bern (GVB) has completely redesigned its magazine and is focusing on consistent cross-media implementation. The focus is on the online platform, where longreads, videos, audio, infographics and interactive elements offer an in-depth multimedia reading experience.

The new digital platform offers multimedia experiences

"Our aim is to communicate current topics relating to safety, prevention and insurance in an even more exciting and understandable way," explains Linda Zampieri, Editor-in-Chief of "Hauszeit". The new platform makes it possible to shed light on complex topics in a new depth and makes the content accessible to a wider audience through cross-media implementation.

Stories take center stage: For example, "Hauszeit" impressively demonstrates the destructive power of the Brienz mudslide on August 12, 2024 or shows the dimensions of the historic flood of 2005 in Bern - always from the perspective of building owners.

Modern implementation on all channels

The printed edition has a fresh and reader-friendly appearance. Both the layout and the dramaturgy of the magazine have been reorganized to ensure that the relevant topics are given sufficient space. In order to provide sufficient space for cross-media implementation, the periodicity was reduced from two to one issue per year.

The longreads form the heart of the digital extension. They offer multimedia narrative forms with text, images, video, audio and interactive elements. This allows background reports on topics such as natural hazards, fire protection or innovative insurance solutions to be communicated in an informative and memorable way.

GVB worked together with various partners on the new concept: Newsroom Communication AG was responsible for the cross-media concept and the platform layout, while Stämpfli Kommunikation developed the print design. The texts were written by etextera.
