Doodle with strong growth in subscriptions and revenue in the first half of 2020
Compared to the previous year, Doodle reported a 99 percent increase in monthly recurring revenue in the second quarter of 2020. Despite the operational and economic impacts of COVID-19, the number of subscriptions rose by 74 percent in June 2020 to a record high compared to the previous year.

Renato Profico, CEO of Doodle, said in a statement: "Thanks to a clear focus on product innovation and customer success, we have won the trust of over 30 million users worldwide, including many Fortune 500 companies. Over the next two years, we will invest heavily in the further development and innovation of our software. The goal is to fully meet the comprehensive and complex scheduling needs of business customers."
Deeper integration with Slack
In the first half of 2020, the company launched several integrations with Slack. Examples include the launch of Doodle Bot in Slack, an AI-driven feature called Book it! and most recently, the availability of Doodle Bot in Slack's Shortcuts menu. Since the launch of optimizations like Shortcuts and App Home, the number of polls created by Doodle Bot has increased by 50 percent compared to the previous quarter. The "Create a Poll" feature is one of the most common shortcuts in the Slack app.
This integration is proving to be extremely popular and helpful for business users. Most active users come from the education, technology, travel, and consumer products industries. With the new features, up to 20 companies can use a Slack channel together as part of Slack Connect. The new Slack feature is thus a more secure and productive method of communication between companies, facilitating collaboration internally and externally.
Kevin Owens new CPO at Doodle
As the new Chief Product Officer, Kevin Owens is focused on driving the company's business-focused product vision through 2021 and beyond. Kevin Owens has more than 21 years of experience in SaaS product development and business leadership. Previously, he was VP of Products at Reveleer, where he led the company's transition from a technology-based services company to an industry-leading healthcare SaaS platform. "I look forward to joining the company at this important moment as it evolves its traditionally market-focused products into a powerful, integrated and secure enterprise appointment setting platform," said Kevin Owens, Doodle's chief product officer.
"There are three key focus areas that we need to address if we are going to support the needs and priorities of businesses in terms of appointment setting. First and foremost, we want to find out what it takes to build team-based workflows into the product's features. Next, we're looking to partner with other software vendors/app developers to provide a full suite of integrations. And then we'll expand the analytics of our platform so we can provide business-related insights into how employees interact with teams, colleagues and customers."
