The people of Graubünden will soon be able to vote with the click of a mouse
In 2021, voters in Graubünden are expected to be able to cast their ballots and vote online. Parliament is expected to take the first steps toward this by amending the Political Rights Act.

The partial revision is intended to create the necessary cantonal legal basis for the introduction of e-voting as a voting channel at all levels of government, as announced by the Graubünden government on Wednesday. An e-voting system will then be procured, probably in 2018. The highest priority will be given to security, according to the statement.
The introduction is planned in two phases: a pilot phase with six municipalities is to start in 2020 and the ongoing expansion to other municipalities is planned from 2021. The municipalities will be able to decide autonomously whether and to what extent (with or without municipal ballots) they want to introduce e-voting. (SDA)
