The Muslim Airbnb Muzbnb launches in Switzerland
The US portal Muzbnb, which offers an apartment rental service for Muslim guests, is launching in Switzerland.
This writes the Handelszeitung in its current issue. The first property in the canton of Valais went online recently. "Verbier is our start in Switzerland," says Muzbnb spokesperson Aadila Sabat-St. Clair, "we hope to have a total of 100 Swiss properties in 2018."
According to the annual "Global Muslim Travel Index", around 121 million Muslims went on international vacations in 2016; this figure is expected to rise to 156 million by 2020. In Switzerland, Geneva and the Bernese Oberland are particularly popular. Muzbnb anticipates further growth opportunities: "We are targeting 5000 Swiss properties in the future."
