Cyberattack against campaign website
Unidentified hackers have apparently taken down the Homeowners« Association (HEV) campaign website opposing the »Green Economy" initiative.
The website had to be taken offline temporarily. At the beginning of September, the campaign management registered around half a billion hits on the website within just 24 hours, the HEV announced on Tuesday. It was not possible to determine who was behind the "apparently targeted attack". Political motives could also not be ruled out. According to the HEV, the website has since been put back online under tighter security measures. (HEV)
