What are digital immigrants?
Digital immigrants are the opposite of digital natives. These are people born before 1980 who have not been in contact with special technologies such as computers or cell phones since birth. The term "digital immigrant" comes from the English vocabulary and can be freely translated as "digital immigrant. This translation already hints at what digital immigrant actually means, because this term describes a person of the generation that did not grow up with digital technologies, but only got to know these technologies in adulthood. This means that this generation spent its childhood without a firm integration of digital technologies.Sources: xeit.ch, www.gruenderszene.de
