Travelnews.ch on course for growth

Anyone wanting to find out about the latest developments in the Swiss tourism and travel industry is increasingly clicking on Travelnews.ch. In July of this year, the travel news portal recorded 158,194 visits, according to the just published and certified Net-Metrix user figures. This is a new record in the startup's three-year history and confirms the growth trend of Travelnews.ch since the portal went live in August 2015.In addition to the number of visits, Net-Metrix also reports the number of "unique visitors" for July 2018. It reached a new record level of 91,000 in July (previously 80,000 in January 2018), as did the number of "page impressions" totaling 239,735 (previously 211,792). Travelnews.ch is the only Swiss tourism news portal to have had its traffic figures officially certified since September 2017, making it the online market leader.

New: Daily travel weather and pinboard for hotel offers

The constantly growing user numbers since the launch of Travelnews.ch in summer 2015 are, in the eyes of the creators, a direct result of many primeur articles from the industry, the analysis of current travel and tourism trends, as well as the continuously expanded offering, for example with video contributions. In this way, we address a broad, growing target group in Switzerland and neighboring countries," says Managing Director Jean-Claude Raemy.Travelnews.ch recently expanded its offering once again. In cooperation with wetter.tv, the TV channel of MeteoNews producer Peter Wick, the portal now presents the travel weather for the coming days at the most important European beaches and travel destinations. A few weeks ago, a new hotel pinboard was also launched, where hotels from Switzerland, neighboring countries and all of Europe can present their offers and room rates. This is a unique marketplace for hotels in this country.
