search.ch with new functions

A new feature of search.ch is a weather and wind forecast.search.ch makes everyday life easier for people in Switzerland. On the search.ch app or the search.ch website, information on the current weather, the weather forecast for the next few days, Swiss maps including directions, timetable information and also telephone numbers or address information are quickly available at any time.Public transport quick dialThe two most important pieces of information for travel planning are the departure and arrival destinations. These two details can now be entered quickly and easily on search.ch. In the journey planner, search.ch now shows the towns and cities most frequently searched for by users. On devices with a touchscreen, to enter the start and destination locations, simply drag the start location onto the destination location with your finger. On the desktop, use the mouse to do this. A moment later, the next connections are displayed. The public transport data comes from SBB. The list of the most frequently searched locations can also be manually adjusted to suit individual travel habits.Animated wind informationmeteo.search.ch now displays current wind information and forecasts to an accuracy of one kilometer. Animated lines show the current wind directions and strengths in Switzerland based on the Beaufort scale. The forecast shows developments for the next 24 hours, which can be helpful when planning a day's skiing or a bike tour, for example.Simply find a free tableFinding a free table at short notice is not easy in many places. On tel.search.ch, the list of results for the restaurant search can be filtered according to the availability of free tables. Accordingly, only those restaurants that have a table free at the desired time will be displayed. With over 1,600 restaurants and catering establishments, the table can also be booked directly online at search.ch.Live Search: Available apartments in the areaEven more difficult than finding a free table is often the search for a free apartment. With "Live Search", the search.ch app offers users location-based information on the nearest ATM or departure times at nearby public transport stations. Live Search now also shows available apartments in the area. If users are interested, they can view the ad for the property on homegate.ch straight away.iOS up-datesWith the latest iOS update, the search.ch app has not only become faster. iPhone owners with iOS 10 can now also suppress calls from telemarketing numbers. Another practical innovation: from iOS 9, the current search.ch weather can now be displayed directly on the lock screen as a widget. It is therefore no longer necessary to unlock the mobile phone and start the search.ch app to call up the weather forecast.
