"NZZ Campus" is relaunched
MEDIATo mark its 10th anniversary next year, NZZ is relaunching its successful student magazine "NZZ Campus" and bringing it even closer to its target audience. From the beginning of December 2015, Peer Teuwsen will take over the management of "NZZ Campus" from Ronald Schenkel. The new "NZZ Campus" will be published for the first time in March 2016. The redesign involves a revision of both the design and the content. In future, the magazine will be even closer to the target group's world. This is partly thanks to a rejuvenation of the editorial team, both through the new 25-year-old editor Vanessa Sadecky, who is moving from "NZZ am Sonntag" to "NZZ Campus", and through even more guest writers from the reader group. Synergies with the editorial teams of other NZZ titles and the social media editorial team are to be increasingly utilized.Peer Teuwsen replaces Ronald Schenkel as Editorial Director CampusRonald Schenkel has worked as an editor for "NZZ Campus" since 2008 and as editorial director since 2011. During this time, he and his team have developed the magazine into the leading convergent information platform for students and graduates in German-speaking Switzerland. He is handing over the management of "NZZ Campus" at his own request at the beginning of December 2015. Felix E. Müller, Editor-in-Chief of "NZZ am Sonntag" and Head of Magazines and Periodicals at NZZ: "With the pioneering 'NZZ Campus' project, Ronald Schenkel has shown that we can also make quality journalism attractive to young readers and break new ground in the advertising market. We will continue to run the magazine and its online platform with this entrepreneurial openness to innovation and experimentation, while at the same time increasing cost efficiency. "Peer Teuwsen will take over the editorial management of "NZZ Campus" at the beginning of December. As Head of Special Projects, Teuwsen is responsible for the development of journalistic products at the NZZ. In April, he successfully launched the new magazine "NZZ Geschichte", which he will continue to manage. Prior to that, he built up the Swiss and Hamburg editions of "ZEIT".Success in the advertising market"NZZ-Campus" has almost doubled its sales since 2013. This was achieved thanks to close cooperation between the editorial team, publishing house and sales. With innovative offers and individual solutions, the "NZZ-Campus" team made the magazine a central component of student advertising for customers and laid the foundation for the development of NZZ's student marketing.
