FURTHER EDUCATION Patrick Comboeuf, Marion Marxer and Sven Ruoss are the new co-directors of the Master's degree program in Digital Business at the HWZ Zurich School of Business. Together with program director Manuel P. Nappo, the three experts are expanding further education in the areas of digital leadership, multichannel and social media."What we need today are leaders instead of traditional managers," says Manuel P. Nappo, Head of the Center for Digital Business at the HWZ and course director of the MAS Digital Business. "To ensure this, we were able to recruit three top experts. The new co-directors will be responsible for the expansion and further development of the CAS (certificate courses). I look forward to training the new generation of digital leaders with them."Digital leadership as a success factor

At CAS Digital Leadership is Patrick Comboeuf new co-director of the program. Together with Manuel P. Nappo, Comboeuf is responsible for the content and concept of this new certificate course. Together with a team of almost 50 people, Comboeuf implemented a large number of digital initiatives at SBB between 2006 and 2014. "In addition to many success stories such as SBB Mobile, the most successful app in Switzerland with almost 5 million downloads, the relaunch of sbb.ch and the orchestration of the social media platforms, there were also painful but valuable lessons that are worth sharing," says Comboeuf. In addition to a radically renewed skillset, accompanying a company with a "real" business and a long tradition on its digital path will require courageous leaders in the future. The CAS Digital Leadership takes up this challenge.Touchpoint-oriented communication

Marion Marxer is being developed at the HWZ for the newly designed CAS Multichannel Management will be active in the future. Marxer has 20 years of professional experience in marketing and communication. She built up digital units in agencies such as JungvonMatt/Limmat and Publicis and received various awards for the efficiency, networking and creativity of her campaigns. Among other things, Marxer is co-founder and organizer of a festival for digital culture and digital lifestyle (tweakfest). "The CAS Multichannel Management is aimed at all managers in the field of marketing and communication," says Marxer. Because today, everyone is affected by the new paradigms - although most are still overwhelmed. "That's why I'm delighted to be able to further develop the topic in Switzerland with my involvement at the HWZ." The focus is clear: digital first.Continuity and innovation guaranteed

With Sven Ruoss as co-director of the CAS Social Media Management HWZ is focusing on continuity and innovation at the same time. The HSG graduate is currently completing the MAS Digital Business and has already lectured at the HWZ several times. His career path led Ruoss from the consulting sector to the media industry. He worked in the Business Development department at Tamedia for several years. Today, he is responsible for corporate development at the new Swiss news portal watson. Ruoss is committed to ensuring that highly competent lecturers with exciting insights and current cases continue to teach students in the future. "Anyone who wants to shape future development steps in their own organization in the area of social media will receive an ideal foundation of knowledge in the successful CAS." And this is crucial, the social media expert continues. "Because if you don't think digitally, you're out!"The Master's degree course in Digital Business has been offered at the HWZ since 2013. It is made up of five certificate courses (CAS), three of which can be selected and lead to a Master's degree in conjunction with a major practical project. Great emphasis is placed on the transfer of theory to practice.
