The digital transformation becomes existential

DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION On May 6, the first Digital Economic Forum took place in Zurich. The theme was digital transformation in business and society. For the first Digtial Economic Forum in Zurich at the new Kameha Grand Hotel, 230 visitors came together to discuss the consequences of digitalization. Speakers reported on the digital transformation, which has become existential for a company. Swedish philosopher Nick Bostrom from Oxford University and author of the bestseller "Superintelligence" even discussed the transition to a super machine that is far superior to humans. He therefore called for basic conditions and preventative measures to ensure that human values do not lose out to the machine.More critical thinkingIn line with this development, lateral thinker Dr. Stephan Sigrist pleaded for more critical thinking in the data society. This requires a new data culture in companies, an identification of the key issues for tomorrow's society, strengthened values as guidelines and a fundamental reduction of complexity in everyday life. The organizationWith the Digital Economic Forum, entrepreneurs Oliver Stoldt (Premium Conferences GmbH) and Hans-Jürg Rufener (Rufener Events) have created a new platform in Zurich that brings together new trends, standards and the people behind them, regardless of industry. The organizing team includes Dr. Christian Wenger (Wenger & Vieli AG), Vera Brannen (Usable Brands AG) and Marcel Altherr (Inventique GmbH).
