At the Digital Festival, smart is the new sexy

EVENT Today, nerds are the new rock stars. The world has changed dramatically as a result of new technologies - and the first Digital Festival will show just how much. From September 15 to 18, various speakers will be presenting relevant content at Technopark Zurich to inspire everyone to give their best. There will also be competitions, workshops, labs and a hack marathon.In a «hyper-connected» world where technology is omnipresent, the Digital Festival in Zurich has set out to revolutionize the digital market with a completely new event concept. Under the motto «Think like a Brand, act like a Startup,» opinion leaders, key decision-makers, international companies, and the tech world come together. The Digital Festival creates its own ecosystem by bringing the online world together offline—whether at conferences, parties, concerts, or yoga sessions.Break the RulesThe premiere of the Digital Festival will take place in Zurich from September 15 to 18, 2016. The first two days are Wow Day and Transformers Day. However, the programs, idea competitions, workshops, and labs are not just for nerds, tech geeks, digital natives, online kings, and social media users—they’re also for everyone who learned the rules just to break them. The other two days are dedicated to the longest «hackathon» in Europe. 500 finalists, who previously prevailed against more than 1,600 applicants from over 30 countries, will compete against one another. Over the course of 40 hours, programmers, developers, and designers will attempt to hack various internet applications, mobile services, and hardware.
