123C Digital-Beratung joins forces with Daniel Renggli

The consulting agency 123C Digital Consulting is expanding its services to Switzerland and relying on local support: Swiss digital and marketing expert Daniel Renggli is cooperating with the Vienna-based consulting firm as an independent advisor.

123C and Renggli are now working together to help medium-sized companies in Switzerland master the challenges of an increasingly complex digital transformation. The services include a specific maturity model. It locates company divisions on the digital map and shows their most important fields of action operationally. "Although Switzerland has a high level of digitalization compared to other European countries, SMEs in particular are still struggling to realize digital opportunities. They are faced with the challenge of finding the right strategy with limited resources in the jungle of digital solutions and, above all, implementing it consistently on a day-to-day basis," says Managing Director Thomas Apollonio. The digital consultancy aims to solve this problem with a specially developed maturity model.

When it comes to the specific challenges facing Swiss companies in the digital transformation, 123C Digital Consulting relies on the expertise of Daniel Renggli. During his career, the Swiss native has held senior positions at tech giants such as Oracle, Microsoft and SAP and worked as a Principal Consultant for PwC. He currently works as an independent consultant for marketing and customer experience and acts as Business Development Manager for Hase & Igel, a start-up from Germany that is active in the field of AI-supported data analysis.

Two factors slowing down the transformation

Renggli cites two factors in particular that are slowing down the digital transformation in Swiss SMEs: "Firstly, digitalization should be seen as a matter for the boss. Not only because the workforce needs to be involved in the entire process. It's about fundamental corporate strategy decisions that can influence entire business models. Change management and transformation are a huge topic." A second factor that is slowing things down: according to Renggli, the focus in the digitalization of processes has so far been primarily on internal processes that increase efficiency within the company. "What many entrepreneurs neglect are questions of value creation. Where can we digitize to generate value? To offer customers added value? Those who address these questions in future need not fear disruptive start-ups."
