Schröder+Schömbs PR is now B Corp-certified

After a three-year process, the Berlin agency can now call itself B Corp-certified, sending out a signal that demonstrates its own standards and commitment to attitude.

After a process lasting almost three years, the Berlin agency Schröder + Schömbs PR is now B-Corp certified. "Make Business a Force For Good" is the motto of the network that the agency has joined. "Sustainability and corporate culture are success factors, not obstacles," says Managing Director Michael Hetzinger. For him, the label is an obligation and a signal for clients and employees.

Corporate governance, environment, employees, customers and society

The process covers the areas of corporate governance, environment, employees, customers and society. Around 7,800 companies in 92 countries currently carry the certificate with the message "This company meets the highest social and environmental standards". For the agency, dealing with the B Corp framework was a valuable professionalization process. Aspects such as employee development and further training, equal treatment and environmental awareness were already anchored in the agency's operating system, but now processes could be set up in a much more complete and detailed manner. Sustainability also includes factors such as equal pay, professional processes and transparency in all areas, including decisions on new business.

Data and information on purchasing, travel and CO2 emissions, equality, diversity and salaries are systematically collected and communicated. There are initiatives on environmental issues as well as diversity and corporate volunteering.

For the agency, the certificate is a signal that demonstrates its own aspirations and commitment, that employees and partners as well as applicants and potential customers can rely on the attitude and trust the processes.
