Miss Pompadour gets into TV advertising

To reach target audiences beyond social media, the D2C cosmetics brand Miss Pompadour is airing TV commercials for the first time.

The D2C brand for paint and painting accessories for do-it-yourself projects Miss Pompadour is starting the new year with a TV campaign. By taking the step into television, the brand wants to reach new target groups who are not yet familiar with Miss Pompadour via social media and exactly where the paint product belongs: at home in their own four walls.

The twelve-second commercial shows how great the effect is of simply repainting an old kitchen yourself. To do this, Miss Pompadour relies on a style that has worked well for the D2C brand on social media channels right from the start: the before-and-after effect. In the commercial, a young woman transforms an old-fashioned wooden kitchen with a red tiled splashback into a modern, bright, feel-good kitchen using color alone.

"With our first TV commercial, we are focusing on quickly and succinctly showing the range that can be painted with our colors and how they can be used to transform kitchen cabinets, walls and backsplashes," explains Sabrina Thielgen, Head of Digital Marketing at Miss Pompadour. The TV commercial was developed together with the film production agency Ueberbild. The media plan envisages a mix of topic-specific channels such as sixx, Heimatkanal RTL Living and TV channels that appeal to women aged between 30 and 50. Further slots are planned for March and September.
