On April 6 and 7, Easyfairs' major Swiss packaging event will take place for the 10th time.No fewer than four trade fairs covering all aspects of packaging and logistics will be held at Messe Zürich on April 6 and 7, all organized by Easyfairs, the trade fair brand of the internationally active Artexis Easyfairs Group.Easyfairs organizes around 125 trade fairs in 17 countries worldwide. Artexis operates eight exhibition centers in the Benelux and Scandinavia.CompetitionEasyfairs started in Lucerne in 2006 with the "Verpackung Schweiz" trade fair. In 2007, the fair was held again in Lucerne. With an interruption of one year, the third edition followed in 2009 in Zurich. The irregularities with the break in 2008 and the detour to Bern in the following year were a consequence of the competition from the "Pack & Move" exhibition launched in 2008 by MCH Messe Basel, which was held every two years in Basel until 2014. However, the successor exhibition in Basel of "Pack it" and "Mavex" could not prevail. It was in competition not only with Packaging Switzerland, but also with "Transport & Logistics" in Bern, also from Easyfairs.AgreementIn March 2015, Easyfairs and MCH Messe Basel published their joint intention to combine the two trade shows Pack & Move and Transport & Logistic in a new concept. Thus, "Logistics & Distribution" will be held for the first time in parallel to the three Easyfairs packaging exhibitions at Messe Zürich. It positions itself as a new trade fair for the Swiss logistics market and focuses on current logistics and supply chain topics. It is organized by Easyfairs. The halls of the MCH Group in Zurich will be used for all four exhibitions.AnniversaryEasyfairs is thus celebrating its 10th packaging event in Switzerland this year with the three trade shows "Empack" (successor to Verpackung Schweiz since 2015), "Packaging Innovation" (launched in 2014) and "Label&Print" (launched in 2015).Under this year's motto "Visions and Values", mega trends in the industry will be addressed. An extensive program will be presented for this purpose.Packaging Art HouseThe Packaging Art House is the centerpiece of the Packaging Innovations packaging event. As an "Event & Art Space" - made entirely of corrugated board - it opens up a new perspective on packaging as a marketing tool and design object. At the same time, the multifunctional shell offers space for events, discussions and lectures. The Packaging Art House alone is worth a visit. On January 26, 2016, the concept developed by the Viennese design studio Papertown was awarded the renowned international iF Design Award 2016 in the discipline "Interior Architecture" - "a terrific success for a fascinating idea," says Easyfairs Group Event Director Martina Hofmann enthusiastically.Packagingcamp"How to create a packaging" is the motto of the two-day Packagingcamp workshop taking place as part of the 2016 Packaging Event in Zurich. Participants will experience what strategic design and sophisticated product presentations can achieve.thought leaders from the packaging scene will talk about future-oriented strategies, contemporary materials, new finishing techniques and flexible filling methods. The aim is to design a personalized ready-shelf product including packaging and to present the concept to the group of participants.Design ChallengeAnnounced as another highlight of the packaging event is the "my Tadaaa! Design Challenge" - a competition for young designers on the subject of promotional products. The creative showdown is being organized by the online platform for advertising and full-service agencies meintadaaa.com in cooperation with brand-name manufacturers from the promotional products industry.Science meets industryThe Swiss Packaging Event promotes contact between science and practice: In the "Science meets Industry" area in Hall 6, developers and research officers meet packaging experts and can exchange views on individual questions. In addition, expert speakers will present their latest research results in three short presentations every hour.In the "learnShops™" in Hall 5, there will be short presentations on current topics relating to packaging, printing technologies and materials. Competent speakers share their knowledge, discuss with the audience or present their best practice examples.
