With the World Cup jerseys for cigarette packets, the independent tobacco producers from eastern Switzerland want to please football fans who smoke. The 32 colorful sleeves, conceived and designed by the Zurich agency Hej in the characteristic colors of Heimat cigarettes, will be distributed free of charge during the World Cup, including at kiosks and public viewings in Switzerland. The complete collector's box can be ordered for 9.90 Swiss francs from the Koch & Gsell webshop.

Documentary "Smoking Balls"

Football and cigarettes: two things that do not go together at all according to today's ideas. In a short documentary film, Heimat Zigaretten provides surprising and witty insights into a hitherto unexamined chapter of football. The panini pictures, for example, have their historical predecessor in the "cigarette cards": cigarette manufacturers enclosed portraits of footballers with their packs, which could be collected in albums. Among those involved in the four-minute film was Mämä Sykora, editor-in-chief of the Swiss soccer magazine Zwölf and a profound expert on the history of soccer.

Responsible at Koch & Gsell: Björn Koch and Roger Koch (idea and concept). Responsible at Hej: Helm Pfohl (Creative Direction); Pascal Hartmann (Design). Script and research: Mämä Sykora, Twelve Magazine. Film and editing: Markus Eggspühler, Filmkiste.
