Calanda Glatsch shows how the people of Graubünden survive the summer
The new Calanda campaign, «Calanda Glatsch Makes Summer a Little More Bearable,» playfully depicts two exasperated Graubünden residents who curse the summer and long for winter with its cool temperatures.

The campaign focuses on the new beer from the brewers of Calanda: Calanda Glatsch. A hearty sip of the ice-cold Calanda Glatsch helps to get through the tiresome heat and make the summer more bearable.
While the rest of Switzerland looks forward to summer throughout the year and longs for warmth, the people of Graubünden cope better with cold and snow and like it rather cool. Snow, fun on the slopes, (après) ski athletes and mountains as far as the eye can see characterize life in the Grisons in winter more than in any other canton. Summer, on the other hand, which is enjoyed in the lowlands with warm barbecue evenings or a dip in the pleasantly warm lake, is a horror to the winter-spoiled Graubünden people.
The Calanda Brewery provides the appropriate solution to problem: an ice-cold Calanda Glatsch ("Glatsch" - Rhaeto-Romanic for ice). The recently launched lager is supposed to taste particularly refreshing thanks to maturing at -3.5°C - and help make the wait for winter bearable and get through the summer season well.
The new campaign of the agency Publicis, which is also responsible for the naming and product design, presents Calanda Glatsch and life in the summery mountains with humor and self-irony. At the Calanda Brewery Festival in Chur, which took place at the end of April, the campaign for Calanda's latest beer innovation was presented to the public. It has been running since May 1 on television and on various digital channels. A total of 14 spots will be shown during the summer months. (pd/hae)
