Ringier Axel Springer Media acquires remaining shares in Onet
Ringier Axel Springer Media has acquired the remaining 25 percent of the shares in Onet Holding from the Polish media company TVN.
With this acquisition, Ringier Axel Springer Media will become the sole owner of the holding company, the media company announced on Thursday. No details were given on the purchase price.
The acquisition is based on a 2012 agreement between TVN and Ringier Axel Springer Media. Onet Holding, which operates the Onet.pl online portal among others, was founded in 2012 as a joint venture between Ringier Axel Springer and TVN.
Ringier Axel Springer Media, in turn, is a joint company of the Swiss media house Ringier and the German publisher Axel Springer. In it, the two groups have combined their business activities in Eastern Europe. (SDA)
