Swiss web application launches brainstorming chatbot
The chatbot goes by the name «Tongo» and is integrated into the Facebook page of the Swiss web application yutongo. It assists its users with an automated moderation feature, answers questions about creativity and innovation, and is also up for a bit of fun now and then.

The chatbot is launched when users click the Facebook page Visit. Click the «Messages» button to start the bot.
The bot's goal is to explore various aspects of «innovation» and «creativity» and to provide further information and insights into the startup's proprietary creativity process, which it offers on its web-based Tool offers, as well as to gain experience with the «bot» medium.
The chatbot’s built-in facilitation feature—currently available in English—is designed to help teams conduct internal brainstorming meetings in a playful way; however, the chatbot itself does not generate any ideas. Instead, over the course of 5 rounds—each lasting about 5 minutes—the bot provides facilitation instructions that users follow either individually or as a team during a live brainstorming meeting. The service offers a process for naming as well as a process for addressing all other questions.
To ensure that «Tongo» can provide increasingly accurate responses, the bot is continuously trained using users« questions and reactions. »Our goal is, on the one hand, to find out what motivates people when it comes to creativity, ideation, and innovation, and, on the other hand, to convey our methodology and our concept of creativity—as we also put it into practice through our web tool,” said yutongo founder Sandro Morghen, explaining the motivation behind launching the chatbot.
