Ten new communications managers

All ten candidates who took the Advanced Professional Examination for Communications Managers passed the exam.

With only ten participants, the Higher Professional Examination for Communications Managers has reached an all-time low, according to a press release. The best candidate of the year is Felix Zürcher from Langenthal with a grade point average of 5.1, followed by Sandra Thalmann from St. Gallen with 5.0 and Markus Gubler from Zollikofen with 4.8. In a statement, the Swiss Advertising Association SW regrets the renewed decline and the ongoing development, the end of which is not in sight. However, the 2016 exam is not in danger and will be held.

Better cards for higher vocational education

In view of the decline in the number of participants, there are plans to hold the examination only every two years in the future, unless there is a surprising turnaround in the number of registrations. This could be helped by the fact that higher vocational education and training will have a somewhat better hand in the future than the universities of applied sciences and higher technical colleges. On the one hand, thanks to the planned partial financing of individual training costs by SERI (Federal Office for Professional Education, Research and Innovation). On the other hand, the improved classification according to the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) makes the examinations more easily comparable with international qualifications.
