Valenica: Setting the scene for the champions for Adidas
A Master Class for Valencia. When FCB heroes like Fabian Frei, Matias Delgado, and Davide Callà pose for Adidas in front of the camera, the balls fly toward the photographer and the players’ hearts soar.
Instead of hot scenes in the opponent's penalty area, the FC Basel stars caused a stir in the photo studio. And not just through their presence. After all, FC Basel 1893 presented the new Adidas home shirt for the 2015/2016 season.

A group photo of Frei, Delgado and Calla in the new home jersey was shot especially for a Big Poster. These were mounted on the outside of the stadium and at the fan store on the last matchday of the season, while FCB ran in on the pitch in the new kit and new shoes. Pictures were therefore also taken especially for social media use, showing the players with the new X and Ace soccer shoes.

The photo shoot was organized by Valencia. "The players did a great job," said Nadine Gschwend, Junior Art Director and responsible for the shoot, "and you can see that in the pictures." The style of the pictures, by the way, is in line with the specifications Adidas sets for all clubs worldwide that are equipped by the sports brand. The timing of this project was also sporty: the images had to be selected, edited and prepared for printing practically overnight. The fans were not to see the new jersey and shoes for the first time until the last game of the current season.

A total of seven players from the Swiss champions joined hands in Tobias R. Dürring's photo studio. In addition to those mentioned above, Philipp Degen, Walter Samuel, Fabian Schär and Adama Traoré were also in attendance.
