Twelve in a new dress

Twelve was in the locker room. Starting with issue 46, which comes out on Thursday, the Swiss soccer magazine will have a new look.

"The aim was to give the magazine a clearer structure and a tidier look. It was also important to us that we could implement our stories in a more individual way visually," says Editor-in-Chief Mämä Sykora.

Sascha Török, designer and image manager at Zwölf since June 2014, is responsible for the new look. "The most obvious change for the reader is of course the lettering. The use of new fonts and a variable design grid has created more space and at the same time made it easier to read. The newly developed color concept supports the structure of the magazine and makes sections easier to identify."

With the relaunch, new sections and authors have also found their way into the magazine: Under the heading "Abpfiff", satirist Gabriel Vetter now pays tribute to football greats who never really existed. In his column "Serial Seger", ice hockey crack Mathias Seger observes football from the perspective of a fan and team sportsman. Twelve now also has a broader international base. Alternating with our "man in London", Hanspeter Künzler, Christian Egli brings readers closer to Latin American football from Montevideo.

Otherwise, Zwölf relies on its tried and tested strengths: The magazine provides background information, specialist knowledge and, above all, good stories - all always with a lot of passion and the necessary pinch of humor.
