Internet holds its own in a declining overall market
With the exception of a further marked increase on the Internet, advertising pressure across all media declined slightly, as in the previous month. This is shown by the September edition of the Goldbach Index (Gemi).
Internet holds its ground again in the calculation month of September with an increase of nine index points 753 (744) compared to the previous month and thus remains on a growth course.
The other media show an overall downward movement: After a sustained upward trend, TV again lost one index point 647 (648) and radio recorded a decline of two index points 407 (409). A loss of three index points 733 (736) can be seen in the digital out of home sector. With the loss of another index point 51 (52), advertising pressure in the teletext sector also remains in decline.
The overall market remained at the previous month's level with 237 index points, while the advertising print for electronic media as a whole declined by one index point to 646 (647).
