Florian Weischer becomes President of SAWA
The Executive Council of the international cinema advertising association Screen Advertising World Association (SAWA) has elected Werbeweischer Managing Director Florian Weischer as its new president. He succeeds Carl Martin Klingberg, who served as president of SAWA for eight years.
Werbeweischer has been a member of SAWA for 15 years. For the past ten years, Florian Weischer has played a key role in shaping the work of the association as Vice President. "Cinema is in competition with other digital moving image channels such as smart TV or online. I see strengthening our medium as a powerful and high-quality channel in the communication mix as one of our main tasks in the association," says Florian Weischer, adding: "Now that Carl Martin Klingberg has successfully led SAWA into the digital age, the focus in future will be on developing fully integrated digital workflows and - associated with this - new business models for cinema advertising and establishing them on the market."
