Successful decade for Great Garbo

For the past ten years, Nora, Diego, and Lionel Baldenweg have been successfully producing music for international advertising campaigns and feature films under the name Great Garbo. To celebrate the anniversary, directors, actors, and producers gathered at the Orange Cinema in Zurich.

The Swiss sibling trio Nora, Diego and Lionel Baldenweg have been composing and producing music for international clients such as Canon, Nivea and Sony for ten years. Having grown up in Australia, the three talented Baldenwegs found their way back to Switzerland in their teenage years - and founded Great Garbo in 2004. To celebrate the tenth anniversary of their company, the Baldenwegs invited guests to the open-air cinema in Zurich on Thursday, July 24. Renowned guests from the music, advertising and film industries looked back on a successful musical decade at an exclusive party with summer temperatures. For the guests present there was a surprise showcase by Grand Cannon the new band project of Pfuri Baldenweg, Zach Prather and Kniri Knaus.

Successful film producer Anne Walser (C-Films), who welcomed the guests with a speech, is convinced: "Great Garbo will continue to make wonderful music for many decades to come. We have been working with the siblings for a long time and love their craft."

Currently, the music of the Baldenwegs can be heard in the worldwide Dove campaign, which within a few weeks has become the third most viewed online advertisement of all time with 100 million views. Other highlights of Great Garbo include work for Sony, Orange and Mastercard as well as an award-winning film music recording with star conductor David Zinman and the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich. The Baldenwegs have won several "best music" awards over the past 10 years.

You will find pictures of the event in the upcoming print edition of Werbewoche.
