Doodle wants to go high
Doodle is investing in growth: It aims to make online scheduling the international standard.
Around 50 days ago, the founders of Doodle handed over the world's leading online scheduler to a new management team (Werbewoche.ch reported). The current management team wants to exploit the great potential of the service worldwide, as the new CEO Michael Brecht emphasizes in a press release: "We will develop Doodle into a truly global platform. What Facebook is for social interaction, Doodle should be for making appointments in the future: a service that is a standard feature on every computer, tablet and cell phone."
In order to realize this vision, the media group Tamedia, which holds a stake in Doodle, is investing in all areas of the company. On the product side, the service concept of Doodle is to be sharpened through the consistent further development of mobile solutions and apps. In addition to the free basic version for online scheduling, Doodle will also launch an optimized version of its ad-free premium services in April, which have been in increasing demand from users for some time. Another relevant growth driver in the portfolio is the Doodle Bookme booking service, which enables smaller companies to offer their customers online appointment scheduling (Werbewoche.ch reported). According to the press release, Doodle will also be expanding this service significantly in 2014.
Doodle's product initiatives will be supported in the coming months by various international growth campaigns in Europe and the USA - with the focus of activities on the German and US markets.
