Unic: Zürich Tourism fulfills wishes

As the year draws to a close, the city on the Limmat shows its romantic side and fulfills the wishes of its visitors in a campaign developed by Unic and Mehrwert.

On the website Wish.zuerich.com young and old can write their wishes on a piece of paper, which then lands directly on the desk of the Director of Tourism, Martin Sturzenegger. With a bit of luck, some of them will come true.

Unic and the agency Mehrwert have developed the "Zürich fulfills wishes" campaign together with the people responsible at Zürich Tourism. At the heart of the image campaign is a responsive landing page for smartphones, tablets and desktops, on which the wish list can be filled out and submitted. Inspiration is provided by the children Sophia, Felicity and Maximilian, who formulate their personal wishes in front of the camera, as well as the listed weekend tips for Christmas magic in Zurich.

The campaign is being staged on a grand scale in Geneva with a wish streetcar that has been driving through the city since November. An advertisement in the NZZ, a newsletter to 100,000 contacts, classic banner ads in various formats and YouTube video ads in four languages are promoting the campaign in the markets of Germany, Italy, the UK, German-speaking and French-speaking Switzerland. The campaign is being promoted on Facebook with paid and unpaid posts.

According to the press release, the aim of the Christmas campaign "Zurich fulfills wishes" is to promote the Christmas season in the tourist destination of Zurich both nationally and internationally in an appealing way. At the same time, this campaign is the prelude to positioning Zurich as a unique urban Christmas destination in the future.
