The year of advertising: Swiss jury members

Communications professionals from industry, media and agencies - five of whom come from Austria and Switzerland - will evaluate campaigns in the "The Year of Advertising 2014" competition. The competition starts on September 2.

Until October 18, participants can submit communication measures at Jdw.com submit. Condition: They were used in Germany, Austria or Switzerland in 2013 or are still to be used. This also applies to campaigns that were launched after October 26, 2012 and were not included in the previous competition. "We are looking for both significant campaigns and groundbreaking individual achievements. Our jury honors work that sets creative and extraordinary signals in the market," say the editors of the Year of Advertising book, Thomas Rempen, Anette Scholz and Peter Wippermann.

Editor-in-chief of Werbewoche on the jury

As diverse as the former dream jobs were, the current positions on the jury for the Year of Advertising competition are just as varied. From Switzerland, the non-digital jury includes Maya Hitz, Head of Communication/Media/Sponsoring & Events at Manor, Alexandra Reich, Head of Marketing & Sales Residential at Swisscom and Pierre C. Meier, Editor-in-Chief of Werbewoche. The members of the Digital jury include René Herzer, owner of Neulandherzer, Simone Ashoff, founder of the Good School, Myles Lord, Managing Partner at Heimat Berlin, and Alexander von Streit, Editor-in-Chief of the German magazine Wired and publisher of the media think tank Vocer. An overview of all jury members can be found at Econforum.com/jury. (This list is not exhaustive.)

Early bird promotion and new cost model

Anyone who submits their contribution online by September 13 will benefit from the early bird promotion and reserve a discount of 10 percent. The book also offers a new and transparent cost model for the Year of Advertising. The following applies on publication: one page - one price. The discount scale has also been adjusted.
