SNK stages mysterious terracotta warriors

The Bern History Museum is showing an exhibition on the history of China entitled "Qin - The Immortal Emperor and his Terracotta Warriors". The Zurich branding agency SNK is responsible for the conception and implementation of the campaign.

Since this week, the posters, TV spots and e-board clips can be seen throughout Switzerland. With five key visuals in five different colors, the poster campaign picks up on the diversity of the figures. The dark, luminous colors, the color gradient and the lighting are intended to reinforce the mysterious aura of the terracotta warriors of the First Emperor of China. The color spectrum is based on the colors used to paint the terracotta figures around 2,000 years ago.

The TV spot and the e-board clips also celebrate the mysterious nature of the clay warriors: the camera scans the surface of an entire terracotta figure and ends up focusing on the back of the head. Only a surprising turn at the very end allows a brief glimpse of the warrior's face. A teaser that invites the viewer to encounter the ten terracotta figures "Face to Face" at the exhibition in Bern.
