Last but not least: Chased by mannequins
Mannequins are meant to showcase the latest collections of a given clothing store; they aren't supposed to talk. And above all, they aren't supposed to watch the customers. But that might be about to change...
The mannequin manufacturer Almax and the technology provider Kee Square have developed mannequins that can provide retailers with information about the people passing by. Goldbach Group writes this in its monthly trend report. Cameras have been integrated into the pupils of the "EyeSee Mannequins" to record information about people passing by. These record the images of passers-by and transmit them to facial recognition software.
Instead of "How can I help you?", the customer in the clothes store will probably be addressed with: "I have the perfect dress for your face". (uma)
