BPRA: three new members

The general meeting of the Association of Public Relations Agencies of Switzerland (BPRA) has admitted three PR agencies—CR Kommunikation, Edelman Switzerland, and Life Science Communication—as new members.

CR Kommunikation develops solutions in the areas of communication and marketing. The full-service agency employs a team of 23 people at its offices in Zurich and Bern. The range of services includes: PR, marketing communications, public affairs, campaigning, employer branding as well as online communications and social media. "With its working groups on these and other relevant topics and the high quality standards it sets for its members, the BPRA offers the ideal environment for CR Kommunikation," says Patrick Marty, a member of the management team at CR Kommunikation, in a statement.

Edelman is one of the world's oldest PR agencies - the agency celebrated its 60th anniversary in summer 2012. In March 2012, Edelman acquired the Swiss agency K Comms and has since been represented under the name Edelman with offices in Zurich and in Lausanne. "Edelman has made a commitment to the Swiss market by establishing its own office," explains Alexander Fink, CEO of Edelman Switzerland. "The inclusion in the BPRA is an honor for us. In line with Edelman's claim of thought leadership, we gladly commit to actively participate in the advancement of quality thinking and innovation in our industry."

Life Science Communication (LSC) was founded in 2007 and is a consultancy for integrated communication and marketing in the field of healthcare and life sciences. The agency has twelve employees and successfully works for its clients at the interfaces between physicians and healthcare professionals, research institutions, patient and non-profit organizations. LSC is also strong in science communications and manages several offices. "With its membership in the industry association of Swiss PR agencies, the agency is now also formally committed to the industry's quality standards," says agency head Mark Bächer.

"We are very pleased to welcome CR Kommunikation, Edelman Switzerland and Life Science Communication as three more industry-recognized agencies to the BPRA," says Roman Geiser, president of the BPRA. "The BPRA seal of approval, as well as the association's quality initiative in the area of CMS certification, differentiates the leading agencies in the market from small, less transparent non-certified agencies."
