Infel wins mandate for "driven

Infel has won the account for «driven,» Maxon Motor’s magazine. The magazine is published primarily on tablets, with a print edition serving as a supplement.

"With our new magazine 'driven', we want to show our target groups the fascinating world of drive technology in a completely new way," says Editor-in-Chief Anja Schütz. The wow effect is particularly important. After all, a tablet is something very personal in itself. The aim was to combine these emotions with the magazine and thus offer a unique, interactive Maxon experience.

The tablet design features links to product details in the Maxon e-shop as well as rich media sections in the form of image galleries, videos and infographics. User experience is a top priority, the agency said in a press release on Friday. Guido von Deschwanden, creative director at Infel: "The challenge was to create an interactive magazine that meets both professional and audience-oriented criteria."

The tablet version can also be used as sales support. Featured products are integrated into the Maxon Motor e-shop and are intended to make the purchase decision easier. Stories, interviews with experts and specialist articles on drive technology are intended to provide an insight into the world of micromotors. An area that can be scratched via the touchscreen opens the focus topic of the following issue.

The tablet version of "driven" is published three times a year - in spring, summer and fall. The series is rounded off with a print edition at the end of the year. The printed magazine is a best-of of the stories from the tablet editions. Here, the company focuses less on user experience and much more on reader experience.

The magazine will be published for the first time on October 25, 2012 and can be downloaded for Apple iOS and Android from the App Store and Google Play Store.
