Five years of Viral Video Award: Submit films now
The Viral Video Award will be presented for the fifth time as part of the Interfilm Berlin International Short Film Festival. The award was established in 2008 by Interfilm Berlin, Zucker.Kommunikation and the Heinrich Böll Foundation as a competition for viral films.
Filmmakers, agencies and all creatives are now invited to submit internet films to www.viralvideoaward.com by September 16, 2012. The organizers are looking for videos with a message. Whether for or against brands, ideas, images, whether political or promotional - the important thing is the message and the intention to spread it virally on the Internet.From October 15 to November 15, 2012, the best films will be presented to the public for voting on viralvideoaward.com.
In parallel and independently of this, an expert jury will award the best political video and the best viral video of 2012. The three prizes of 1,000 euros each will be presented at the 28th International Short Film Festival interfilm Berlin (November 13-18, 2012). The audience prize, determined by online voting, will be awarded by Fritz-Kola, the jury prize for the best viral video will be awarded by the Berlin state initiative "Projekt Zukunft" and the Heinrich Böll Foundation will honor the best political viral that deals with climate, democracy or justice.
The award ceremony of the Viral Video Awards will take place on November 16, 2012 at 9 pm in the Roter Salon of the Volksbühne Berlin.
