Tele Bielingue with new studio

The bilingual regional station serving Biel, the Bernese Jura, the Seeland, Grenchen, and the Fribourg Lake District will produce and broadcast its news program, as well as about 20 other in-house productions, from a new studio starting November 4.

This is the logical second step in an overall renewal, writes Tele Bielingue in a statement on Friday. The old set and on-air design no longer met today's requirements. The overall concept on which the renewal is based is literally a round thing. Everything revolves around the oval station logo with the integrated capital B. The formal distinctiveness of the broadcasting containers is primarily to be ensured by color changes in the décor and nuanced melodies in the theme music.

The naming of the broadcasts was adapted. A title has been chosen for almost all broadcasting subjects, which should be immediately understandable and comprehensible in both German and French. Examples include the news program "Info," the business program "Portefeuille" and the movie guide "Cinema. According to the press release, the new appearance will not affect the station's program structure, which will remain unchanged. It will continue to be based on a half-hour daily program in German and French with the existing, but repackaged, broadcast subjects.

A consortium consisting of Encore Pictures (Production & Consulting), Le Mob Motion Design (On Air Design) and Oceansalt (Set Design) was entrusted with the development of the design concept. Under the direction of producer and creative consultant Jürg Steudler, the two art directors Bart Wasem (On Air Design) and Bob Klenk (Set Design) and their staff realized a comprehensive new look. The music was composed by Michael Ricar. For many years, Encore, Le Mob and Oceansalt have combined forces to realize design concepts for large (SF, ZDF) and small (Tele Bärn, Tele Ostschweiz) TV stations. For their latest project they could also count on the strong support of the technical and design department of Tele Bielingue.
