McCann Erickson with Swiss franc loyalty for Swiss Opel dealers

In a campaign for Opel Suisse, McCann Erickson explains why it’s worth buying your car from a Swiss Opel dealer—rather than in Germany.

The strong franc is on everyone's lips and is causing more and more Swiss to make their purchases in neighboring countries, the agency writes in a statement. Especially when it comes to larger expenditures, many people travel to France or Germany. For example, to buy a car.

The fact that it really pays to buy your car from a Swiss Opel dealer is communicated in McCann Erickson's new campaign with the main message: "27%". That's how much you save if you stay loyal to the Swiss franc, the message goes. Accordingly, radio spots and posters play with national pride in a tongue-in-cheek manner.

The radio spots and ads have been on air since September 1 and the billboards since September 12, 2011.
