Communicators: Daniel Dubach expands pension communications division
Daniel Dubach, a former member of the executive board at Avadis Vorsorge, is joining Communicators. As a new senior consultant, he will bring fresh ideas to communications for pension funds, collective foundations, and insurance companies, and help broaden the management team at Financial Communicators.
Daniel Dubach headed the investment products and services division at Avadis Vorsorge for a good 12 years. Most recently, he was responsible for assets of 7.5 billion Swiss francs, involving the pension funds of around 100 companies as well as some 6,000 private fund savers. Dubach studied economics and business administration at the University of Berne, specializing in finance. He gained his first professional experience at the former Swiss Volksbank and Union Bank of Switzerland in the areas of retail banking, asset & liability management and marketing. He was then attracted to financial journalism for almost four years at the former weekly newspaper Cash. During this time, he trained to become a federally certified finance and investment expert (AZEK). He joined Avadis Vorsorge in December 1998, where he became familiar with the entire spectrum of the pension business and held various positions: Member of the Executive Board and Deputy Managing Director of Avadis Vorsorge, Managing Director of the Avadis Investment Foundation as well as of a fund savings plan for private investors, member of the Board of Trustees and Commissions in various pension committees, including the Investment Foundation, the Real Estate and Private Equity Commission, as a member of the Board of Directors of Avadis Vermögensbildung SICAV, and as a member of investment commissions of larger pension funds.
As a senior consultant, he will use his expertise in the Swiss pension market to introduce Communicators' existing and new clients to institutional target groups in an even more targeted way with innovative tools and ideas, according to a statement from the agency. In addition, he will expand Communicators' pension division and provide communications support to insurance companies and pension funds. This sector of the economy is under increasing pressure to perform, trust and transparency, which is why Communicators expects growing demand here.
Dubach will take up his position at Communicators on October 1, 2011. It is planned to include him in the management team as of January 1, 2012, after a short introductory period.
