Euro RSCG Zurich presents One Young World 2011
To promote One Young World 2011, a global forum for young people who want to shape the future together, Euro RSCG Zurich developed a broad-based, multi-stage campaign.
Following the event premiere in London in 2010, this year's edition of the Forum will take place in Zurich from September 1 to 4. More than 1,000 young people from over 40 nations will then come together in Zurich's Kongresshaus to discuss the future of our world. In a first campaign phase is to draw attention to the event with stirring posters. Here you can see politicians who - as the real press images prove - too often waste their time with unimportant things instead of acting responsibly within the scope of their leadership function.
However, One Young World does not only take a stand against irresponsible politicians, it also discusses and provides its own solutions to remedy the ills of the world. Therefore, in a second campaign phase the broad spectrum of topics covered by the congress. Here, print subjects show the fresh approaches to solutions that young thinkers are using to tackle several world problems at the same time.
In a third phase of the campaign, a Facebook experiment also enables the general public to join in the One Young World discussions. Against the backdrop of the clocks being set back worldwide on October 30, the starting signal is given in Zurich for a social media campaign of a special kind. The linchpin is the one hour that everyone gets as a gift at the time change. World leaders are to use this time to think again about the decisions they have made, to work out new solutions, to correct mistakes. Under the motto "Time change, mind change. Leaders of the world, 1 hour to rethink your decisions." everyone can go to Facebook.com/timechangemindchange write about which politicians' decisions he feels are hasty, not fully thought through, or just plain wrong.
The campaign has been running since mid-August in Switzerland, abroad and on the web.
