Alex Schmid: 20 years of performance and creativity combined

For once, the Zolliker Dialogagentur Alex Schmid received its customers not on the lake, but on the lake - in the lakeside resort of Enge. The occasion was the 20th anniversary.

That an agency can celebrate its 20th birthday is not a matter of course. "In this time, many come and many go, are eaten and merged, internationalized and neutralized, reorganized and ruined," Alex Schmid said in a short speech. His team "has never been one of the noisy creators, but one of the quiet ones" - presumably the recipe for success.

20 years ago, Alex Schmid was supposed to take over his father's company. After three years, it was clear to him that he would rather start out on his own than take over something that had grown. So he did, without preparation, without customers and without capital. After just two years, he moved into the current premises on Seestrasse in Zollikon. Hitachi/Iveco Baumaschinen, BP Switzerland and Elizabeth Arden were among the first major clients the agency was able to build on and with.

New look

Just in time for its 20th anniversary, the agency has rejuvenated its image: with a new logo, a new typeface, and without the addition of "Direct. Says owner Alex Schmid: "Today, we are an integrated dialog agency that works with interactive media and gives much more weight to the potential of a brand than was previously the case." The Alex Schmid brand stands for media-independent, high-quality, response-oriented communication. The new appearance is almost cocky, the 3-dimensional X jumps out of the frame. Customers can look forward to all further steps.

Alex Schmid is still not a network agency. This means that the agency has been able to retain its independence. It only works with and for clients of whom it is convinced and behind whose products it can stand.

Party with style

The honorable occasion was celebrated on August 25 at the lakeside resort of Enge on an island of ideas: Delicious barbecues and a sumptuous buffet provided the highest palate pleasures. The Swiss bartending champion conjured up his own creations and personal drinks on the bar. Musical entertainment was provided by the acapella band "A-cadellic's" with Maxim and the world champion in beatboxing. Captain Remo invited visitors to take a cruise in the lake basin, and work-weary muscles could be massaged to get fit. Listening, experiencing, exchanging, networking, chatting, enjoying - everything was possible. And those who missed the event can catch up on it virtually at Tillate.ch.
