Stamps now also at Quickmail

Quickmail is now on par with the postal service in terms of postage as well. The company, based in eastern Switzerland, is the first private mail carrier to issue its own postage stamp.

Stamps are an excellent tool for attracting greater attention among recipients, says Managing Director Bernard Germanier, explaining the launch. Tests conducted in advance had shown that the use of stamps could increase the response to a mailing by 20 to 25 percent, Germanier adds. Quickmal issues the stamps in collaboration with its customers. They are postage stamps in the true sense of the word: the stamps bear a value indication, a date of issue, are sold at face value and postmarked.

At the time the stamp was issued, Quickmail and its cooperation partner AWZ reached around 30 percent of all Swiss households in 13 cantons. According to their own information, the companies carry over one million addressed letter items per month.
