The main prize is endowed with 6,000 francs. Szczesniak has worked as an art editor for the Tages-Anzeiger and Züritipp since 2010. She previously worked in various galleries and as a freelance journalist. This is according to a press release issued by those responsible for the R&R Prize on Wednesday.

The sponsorship prize of 4,000 francs goes to Sylvia Mutti from Bern, who writes for the art and culture magazines Artensuite and Ensuite. The third prize goes to Pablo Müller from Switzerland, who lives in Berlin. He receives prize money of 3,000 francs. Among other things, Müller writes as a freelance art critic for Kunstbulletin Zürich.

The R&R Prize was established in 2008 by gallery owner Raphael Rigassi and Daniel C. Rohr, the owner of a communications agency. The award is intended to support the quality of media coverage of the visual arts.
