bestYET 2011 live and exclusive: Follow creative competition in Croatia online and on Twitter

The best young creatives from all over Europe arrived yesterday in Zadar, Croatia, for the «best YET – best Young European Team» competition. A total of 22 teams of two, all under the age of 29, are competing for the coveted title. The teams come from eleven countries: Belgium, Germany, England, France, Ireland, Croatia, the Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Sweden, and—last but not least—Switzerland.

Today at 2:00 p.m., the teams of two received a briefing based on which they must develop a print campaign within 24 hours. On Friday, starting at 4:30 p.m., they will have just a few minutes to present their campaign in English to the international jury and representatives from the various countries. Afterward, the jury will evaluate the entries. At 9:00 p.m., during a dinner attended by all participants, the jury will announce which team is the best young creative team in all of Europe. The winners will receive a four-day pass to the 2011 Cannes Festival.

The Swiss delegation

Representing Switzerland, the young creatives Manuela Aggeler (miux) and Isabelle Meyer (Umantis), as well as Patrick Ryffel and Manuel Rohrer (both from Contexta), traveled to Zadar. They are accompanied by Swiss juror Andreas Prokesch, Kerstin Waldkircher and Roman Häring—both from bestYET sponsor Publicitas—as well as Toni Vetterli from the Swiss Media Association.

Werbewoche will provide live coverage of the event as a media partner. On Twitter.com/Werbewoche From Wednesday through Friday, you'll find everything about bestYET 2011—from the Swiss team's first impressions on site to information about the briefing and highlights from the presentations, right up to the announcement of the lucky winners.
