Wapico Designs Visual Identity for AOC-IGP

Wapico, an advertising and communications agency based in Bern and Fribourg, has produced eight films for the Swiss Association of AOC-IGP, created and photographed a new visual identity, and is currently revising all advertisements and printed materials.

27 products, 19 of which are AOC (Appellation d'origine contrôlée or Protected Designation of Origin) and eight IGP (Indication géographique protégée or Protected Geographical Indication), are certified throughout Switzerland. They are represented by the Swiss Association of AOC-IGP in Bern.

Last summer and autumn, Wapico conceived and produced eight films for individual products or product groups. These were shown for the first time at the Swiss Wrestling and Alpine Festival in Frauenfeld in 2010 and are currently being shown on TV on all national channels. The concept is to show origin, production and product, but to name them differently; roots, craftsmanship and character. Wapico has shot one film for each of these three elements, the one of the manufacturers in black and white. This trio is also used in print. In addition to the advertisements, all PR appearances, product sheets and other printed matter are currently being revised.
