Post: Action against "stop advertising" stickers

Tenants with a new home address will receive special mail this summer. From March to June, Swiss Post will enclose "advertising ok" stickers for the letterbox with the relocation and home sets.

The aim is to encourage customers to stick over existing "no advertising" signs, confirmed Swiss Post spokesperson Mariano Masserini in response to a question from Radio Zürisee. Depending on the region, 20 to 70 percent of Swiss households have
"Stop advertising" stickers on letterboxes, which is a disadvantage for Swiss Post as a deliverer. It is dependent on delivering unaddressed advertising to preserve jobs, Mariano Masserini continues. However, the aim is not to put pressure on customers. The letter carriers will continue to respect "stop advertising" signs.
