Cézanne, blob by blob

Sinka.Interactive Helps Cézanne Launch a Website

Sinka.Interactive helps Cézanne to an Internet presenceWhen the exhibition "Cézanne Perfected - Unfinished" opens its doors to an expectant audience at the Kunsthaus Zürich on May 5, the website for the major exhibition of works by the French pioneer of modern painting will already be up and running. The website comes from the kitchen of the Zurich webfactory Sinka.Interactive in Adliswil. "The central task was to implement the idea of museum education in an Internet-friendly way," says Imre Sinka, owner of Sinka.Interactive, commenting on the site for the exhibition, which has been launched at www.kunsthaus .ch.
In fact, the Cézanne website offers more than simply a virtual tour through the exhibition, which already ensured full box offices in Vienna. Rather, it aims to provide insight into the painter's way of seeing: Click by click and blob by blob of color, the images are made visible to the viewer's eye, as is the anatomy of what was painted. The aim of the site is to get museum visitors in the mood for the exhibition - which, given the expected crowds, is definitely a sensible way to prepare. (br)
