No TAmedia Money for Money 24 The stock market programs "Money" and "MoneyTalk" will be discontinued together with Tele 24 at the end of November. The editor-in-chief and presenter of the two business magazines, Martin Spieler, is leaving Belcom. Due to the negative development of the Swiss advertising market and the uncertain economic development, the launch of the planned stock market channel Money 24 will be postponed for the time being. However, a later launch has not been ruled out. On Wednesday, the Federal Council extended the deadline for Money 24's license until the end of 2002. Originally, Money 24 should have gone on air by the end of February 2002. The federal government also allows the transfer of the license from the Belcom subsidiary Takeoff Communications AG, which now belongs to Tamedia, to Tele 24 AG, which remains in the possession of Roger Schawinski and Credit Suisse First Boston.
