SFVP becomes Swissfilm

The contract and commercial filmmakers united in the Swiss Film and Video Producers (SFVP) trade association want to operate under the Swissfilm Association logo in future. "The old name didn't have enough sex appeal," says Peter Beck from the association's Edi working group. SFVP President Andres Brütsch adds: "The term "Swissfilm" is intended to emphasize that today's contract filmmakers define themselves much more as cinematic storytellers than as video technicians.
